Makin’ Moves x Indahouse Friday 4th October @ Market House with Coflo (Ocha Records)

Following our incredible last collaboration back in June, Makin’ Moves join forces once again with London dance collective Indahouse for another jam on Friday 4th October as we head south of the river to Market house in Brixton, a venue we are familiar with as our good friends over at Mi Casa have had some great nights there, with its wooden floor and state of the art sound system.

Come join us straight from work as the event gets underway at 8pm with our house dance work shop hosted by Indahouseuk, before we hit the floor later for the main event, the 2vs2 all styles dance contest which sees dancers teaming up to win the big prize of £200 + Makin Moves goodies!

Presenting the DJs playing throughout the evening, and then the after party from 11pm, we have one of our most exciting line ups to date which sees Makin Moves residents Matt & Jamesey joined by Coflo flying in from San Francisco for his debut gig in London!

Coflo Ferreira is not just a DJ, but also a dancer, and producer who was born and raised in the East Bay Area of California. Founder of Catch The Ghost Records and proud member of the Soulshifters artistry collective. Through the years, Coflo has travelled the world learning, teaching, and performing dance. He has won many international tournaments of “House Dance” and is known for his connections to the artistry collective “The Soulshifters” as well as the legendary dance crew “Circle of Fire.” As his time in the study and practice of American “club dance” has continued to mature, his love and dedication for music have also matured. Coflo began studying music theory and the arts of “house music” production. Now, some 8 years later, Coflo has had remix releases on deep, soulful, and afro house record labels: Soso Deep, Ocha Records, and King Street.

Canadian soulful songstress MissFly and French producer Laroye come together on this exciting new project “Let Me Go” due for release this summer on Makin Moves.

Josh Milan Live @ Jazz Cafe – Thurs 4th July – Limited £15 tickets

Catch Matt and Jamesey at the famous Jazz Cafe in Camden on Thursday 4th July as they warm up the dance floor before Josh Milan hits the stage!

After an electrifying sold-out show last summer which Makin Moves was involved in, Josh Milan’s long-awaited return to the jazz cafe takes place this August for what will be an unmissable showcase covering three decades of music.

With ties to gospel music, the Grammy Award-nominated multi-instrumentalist, producer, and CEO of Honeycomb Music tackles each project with a level of spirituality and inventiveness uncommon in modern music.

Josh’s phenomenal “Shapes, Color and Magic” EP, 2021, explores some of the most innovative jazz and dance music rhythms ever released on the label. In this latest project, Milan pushes the boundaries and challenges our beliefs around danceable jazz music. As with his “6.9.69” LP, this EP is very jazz influenced, improvisational and timeless.

As you can imagine tickets have been selling fast so grab yours today!

General tickets are priced at £25 but you can get a special discounted £15 ticket from the link below for a limited period!
