Kindred Presented by Makin’ Moves & Mi Casa Es Casa Saturday 10th June @ Omeara

We are pleased to announce that following a storming debut Kindred event at the stunning Omeara venue back in April and amazing feedback from all the people that went that we are indeed returning for part two on Saturday 10th June!
Kindred is a new concept from the Makin’ Moves & Mi Casa family seeing two rooms of quality music taking you on a journey through house music to eclectic vibes with a hand picked selection of djs from the UK playing deep/soulful house through to soul, boogie and broken beats!
In the house room we’re very excited to welcome Good Vibrations label boss and all round top producer Sean McCabe to headline. Sean has got lots of great new music to showcase including his fresh new remix of Looking Glass which is out now on Makin Moves Records! Which leads us nicely onto Matt and Jamesey who will be in the house fresh from their much talked about closing set at Grow in Hackney Wick!
Taking things a little deeper on the night we welcome Stuart Patterson from Faith, who’s been at the forefront of London’s cutting-edge club scene for the last fifteen years. From DJing, promoting club nights, fanzines, mix compilations. He is regarded as one of the key figures in the London House music scene and revered by his peers and we can’t wait to hear what he’s got in his box for us on the 10th!
Making up this incredible lineup is David Bailey who has been craving niche for himself in the London house scene for sometime now with guest spots at Deep into Soul and now elevating to Suncebeat and Southport Weekender.
This time around the eclectic room is hosted by the seminal broken beat pioneers CoOp, who are currently ripping it up at their monthly residency at Town Of Brix! DJs supplying the sounds on the night will be Afronaught and Mark Force from Bugz in the Attic. Also, we are blessed to have Patrick Forge one of the UK’s pioneers of soul music kicking things off supplying soulful goodness from all angles as he knows best!
This all looks set to be an even bigger one last last time out so make sure you grab your tickets ASAP!

The Makin’ Moves team kick off their series of summer events down at Grow in Hackney Wick on Friday 12th May! We’re very excited about our first event at this venue because of its location with outside space for the summer evenings looking out onto the Regents Canal and then when things get dark we head inside the club and up the vibes on their state of the art sound system.

We’ve put a special line up together for this event, alongside our resident Matt and Jamesey fresh from their storming set at Omeara last weekend!

Man of the moment Laroye will be kicking things off outside from 7pm on the outdoor terrace. Laroye has released music exploring a variety of different genres from broken beat through funk and boogie on labels such as Local Talk, Midnight Riot, Glitterbox.

We then move inside where Lars Behrenroth will take centre stage! Hes flying in exclusively for this gig and last played in london over 5 years ago. Lars has played at world-renowned clubs like DEEP (LA), Distillery (Leipzig, Germany), Motor City Lounge (Detroit), Stereo (Montreal, Canada), Queens (Paris, France) and in the recent years enjoys a massively growing fan base in South Africa.

This year his highly acclaimed, award-nominated and respected weekly two-hour radio show, “Deeper Shades of House” is celebrating its 18 year anniversary. The show can be heard on many radio stations worldwide (FM, Satellite, DAB & online), is featured on iTunes as an essential music podcast and reaches over 1/4 million listeners each month and we can’t wait to hear what he has in store for us on the 12th!

Makin’ Moves 10th Anniversary Part 2 @ 93 Feet East – Saturday 10th September 2022

Following the amazing part one of our 10th anniversary party at 93 Feet East with Atjazz and Jimpster back in May where they both guys tore the house down, and left people asking “when’s the next party guys?!” we head back to our favourite London venue for part two on Saturday 10th September!

For this special event, Matt and Jamesey will be joined by Crackazat and Fényan in the main room. Crackazat absolutely smashed it the last time we hosted him back in 2020 and we can’t wait to welcome him once again as he brings that unique energy with his dj sets and live keys! He’s had a very busy year dropping his superb “Evergreen” album on Freerange Records plus some hot new exclusive remixes for us on the MM label so you’ll have to be in the house to catch a glimpse of those for the first time! Our second main room guest is Fényan who will be making his London debut and aren’t we excited to be bringing such a talent to Makin Moves! This man is different class growing up learning his trade firstly as a house dancer winning global acclaim but more recently he’s turned his hand to djing and producing working with the likes of Toy Tonics. His sets will have you hypnotised as he creativity works live elements over his unique beats!

Getting the show moving early on in the courtyard will be Frankie J (indahouse) and Davide Delvecchio who has recently been making a lot of noise with his Rehab events as a dj in his right. Frankie is one talented dude!! Where do we start.. This man is probably the best house dancer in the UK, taking his talents around the world showcasing and teaching, but as a DJ this guy is certainly one for the future as he showed us all at Colours in Hoxton last summer when he took the roof off! We look forward to welcoming both guys to Makin’ Moves for this very special event!
