NOTES TO EDITOR:-
Makin’ Moves is a new music and events company launched in Summer 2012, the brain child of Matt Langrish-Smith and Jamesey, a business collective set up to nurture rising talent aswell as collaborating with established names. Matt has a wealth of experience under his belt from working with dance independents like Papa Records and Tribe Records UK, an internationally acclaimed label and events company with club residencies in Paris, Miami and London. Whilst, Jamesey established his name on House FM radio in 2004, he resides at the Ditch bar with Euphoric House Collective Randy J & Floyd Patterson, headlined BBE Records’ parties, Soulogic and Kinki Malinki. Jamesy was soon jetting around the world guesting at parties in Sardinia, Barcelona, New York, Paris, Russia, Georgia and Dubai. In 2008 a chance meeting between Jamesy and Matt Langrish-Smith at Offthemeters.com , lead to many late nights debating about the soulful house scene which proved to be a meeting of musical minds and the start of a perfect business partnership.
The last 12 months has seen Makin’ Moves host parties at Brixton Club House, Bedroom Bar and their first major event at The Winter Music Conference in Miami last month, all proved to be a roaring success. This Summer will see a selection of Makin’ Moves parties, showcases and releases to celebrate their 1st anniversary including The Light Bar, Shoreditch on Sunday 16th June, their first ever party in New York City, a very much anticipated live concert from Peven Everett to coincide with his album release in August.
